The group convenes schools and symposia as well as attending them. ECMA_QE,
our school on ab initio materials modelling, runs annually.

A three-day school on ab initio modelling of materials with Quantum ESPRESSO, run on the Universidad de los Andes high-performance cluster. Lectures on density functional theory alternate with hands-on sessions, and each participant carries a guided computational project through to a final presentation.
