Work in the lab
We are always interested in undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs. Graduate students receive support from the Physics Department and from research grants.
Write to [email protected] with your CV and a short note about what you would like to work on. Have a look at the research lines first — the strongest applications name one.
Undergraduate
Thesis and research-assistant projects, usually starting in the second or third year. Most of our alumni started this way — see where they went.
Master's & Ph.D.
Through the Physics Department graduate programme. Funding comes from departmental support and research grants; contact us before applying so we can shape a project.
Postdoc
Openings are announced here and through the Department. Useful expertise: low-temperature transport, AFM-based techniques, thin-film growth (sputtering, e-beam or thermal evaporation), and the physics of oxide thin films.
