Figure from the Scientific Reports paper on V2O5 nanoparticles

We synthesized V₂O₅ nanoparticles using a sol–gel method and observed a notable reduction in the optical band gap with higher calcination temperatures. While structural changes were minimal, the introduction of oxygen vacancies was found to reduce the band gap and promote a ferromagnetic response. This discovery suggests a potential method to design innovative devices.
